Depending on the case and the patient, there are different kinds of implants that can be recommended. If the case allows it, implants can be placed in a day, a temporary prosthesis can be fixed 24h after the surgery, and after a few months it is replaced by a fixed definitive prosthesis.

 

On the other hand, if the patient has lost the bone tissue that support the teeth, we can use zygomatic implants, a type of implant that is fixed in the zygomatic bone (cheekbone); or Basal implants, which are bind with a great retention and allows to place several teeth in a single surgery, even in cases where there is very little bone present.

 

Some systems allow us to reduce the number of screws per tooth. For example, thanks to the locators we can strengthen a complete denture with just two implants. In any case, the choice of implant depends on the results of the study of the mouth and the investigation of the case.
