IMPLANTOLOGY

DENTAL IMPLANTS ARE ARTIFICIAL TOOTH ROOTS, USUALLY MADE FROM PURE TITANIUM, WHICH SERVE TO SUPPORT CUSTOM MADE ARTIFICIAL TOOTH. EVERY IMPLANT IS MANUFACTURED TO FIT THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF EACH PATIENT.

Every tooth loss, may create problems over time, that not only affect other teeth, but also the ears, stomach, neck or jaw joint. Thanks to dental implants, these problems can be prevented.

The result of a dental implant is an artificial, perfectly functional tooth that will fit the aesthetics of the mouth of the patient.

.

The main advantage of dental implants is the immediate improvement of speech and chewing.

At the same times, dental implants also enhance aesthetically the mouth of the patient increasing their security and confidence.

TYPES OF DENTAL IMPLANTS

Depending on the case and the patient, there are different kinds of implants that can be recommended. If the case allows it, implants can be placed in a day, a temporary prosthesis can be fixed 24h after the surgery, and after a few months it is replaced by a fixed definitive prosthesis.

On the other hand, if the patient has lost the bone tissue that support the teeth, we can use zygomatic implants, a type of implant that is fixed in the zygomatic bone (cheekbone); or Basal implants, which are bind with a great retention and allows to place several teeth in a single surgery, even in cases where there is very little bone present.

Some systems allow us to reduce the number of screws per tooth. For example, thanks to the locators we can strengthen a complete denture with just two implants. In any case, the choice of implant depends on the results of the study of the mouth and the investigation of the case.

ALL ON 4

The treatment concept All-on- 4 was developed to provide an efficient and reliable solution for the edentulous patients using only four implants to support a full-arch prosthesis with immediate loading.

The technique All-on- 4 ™ is a revolutionary system of implants that thanks to recent advances in bioengineering, has simplified the procedure compared to conventional systems. ALL-ON- 4™ allows the entire arch to be placed over only 4 implants, permanently, without bone grafts.

This procedures can de completed in a single day and has a higher success rate than other procedures!

From the traditional method of 8, 10 or even 12 implants, we have changed to the procedure with only 4 implants, which are strategically distributed to ensure the proper fixing of the denture and avoid overloading the bone. Studies and experience have shown that the success of teeth restoration does not lie within the numbers of implants, but the quality of these.

ALL-ON- 4 ™ is a big step for implantology, permitting the placement of all the teeth on the same day, in 100% of the maxilla and in almost all jaws.

COMPUTER-GUIDED SURGERY

AND DIGITAL TAC IN 3D

Cirugía guiada por ordenadorComputer guided surgery allows the detailed study of the bone anatomy of the patient and

thus the possibility of planning the most appropriate rehabilitation.

This technique improves the life quality of patients, in three areas: functional, psychological and social. It is minimally invasive, they can be carried out even without opening the gum and painlessly (guided surgery), in addition it is fast, secure and predictable. Many scientific studies corroborate that the success rate is almost 100%. It is documented that the use of techniques of immediate function increases the therapeutic acceptance and minimizes postsurgical discomfort for the patient.

In essence, this surgery is based on the possibility of planning a specific rehabilitation of dental implants in a virtual model of the jawbone and the patient's jaw, which is obtained from a scanner thereof (TAC). Due to the exhaustive planning, and through a series of templates, we will develop a method so the surgery is minimally invasive (without incisions) so that fixed dental or maxillofacial prosthesis may be fitted perfectly once it is finished.

ADVANATAGES OF IMPLANTOLOGY

Bridges and removable appliances rely on neighboring teeth, causing wear for the extra load. Furthermore, unlike the implants, these solutions do not slow the bone loss caused by the fall of the tooth. Dental implants are the most convenient, practical and effective solution, minimizing bone loss and fitting perfectly the aesthetics and the functionality of the patients mouth.

Our highly specialized medical team has extensive experience in implantology procedures, both simple and complex. In addition, we offer all the information and advice you need about the different types of treatments, always seeking the best solution for you.
